Just a spoonful of prompting can make the writers pen note down, in the most delightful way!

Prompting is often the exercise used in creative writing seminars.  I remember one where we were given three scraps of paper, one had a name, one had a location and one had a scenario, we were given something like 15 minutes to try and create a story using those basic tools.  Whilst on the one hand you could say that prompting is stifling and a bit cheesy, I find it a good fun way to get the creative juices flowing! It’s always fun I find to see where your mind can take you, given a basic scenario to work from and you never know, something could just click, given the right prompt!
